Join Chinatown 808 and our presenting sponsor, American Savings Bank, for a family-friendly festival in Honolulu’s Historic Chinatown as we welcome the 2026 Lunar New Year on Saturday, February 14, 2026! Lunar New Year officially falls on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, marking the beginning of the Year of the Horse.

The parade will step off at 4:30 pm from the Hawai‘i State Capitol lawn and participants will march down Hotel Street, journeying through Honolulu’s Historic Chinatown to the Chinatown Festival in ‘A’ala Park & along Beretania Street.

This exciting event is perfect for all ages and offers a wonderful chance to experience and celebrate Chinese culture through performances, food, and fun. Gather with your family and friends and be part of this unforgettable Lunar New Year celebration!

There will be porta potties available on Sun Yat Sen mall.
There will be many opportunities to see Lion & Dragon Performances through out the event and along the Parade route.
Find a spot anywhere along Hotel Street.
A rest tent with tables and chairs will be setup in 'A'ala Park.
The event will close N. Beretania St. all lanes/sidewalk areas from Maunakea St. to Aala St. from 7:00 A.M. till 12:00 Midnight.

LUNAR NEW YEAR PARADE will start at Richards St./Hotel St., to Hotel St., Ewa bound to end at River St. Lanes will be closed starting 3 pm. Hotel Street will be closed starting at 4:00 PM till 6:00 PM
